Be Noticed For Fall
Red Door insider tips from celebrity colorist and flagship hair color director brad johns

You notice changes in nature’s colors and changes in the air.
So make no mistake about it, for fall 08, the trend is big, noticeable
changes for your hair!
Color Think darker, richer, warmer. Think one, all-over color with ‘accent’
highlights around the perimeter of your face and/or in the under layers of
your hair. Forget ashy, and leave stripy for the punk rockers. I recommend
natural ‘invisible’ lights or possibly bolder ‘surfer’ lights done in big pieces here
and there. Hair color this fall should be warm and in vivid symmetry with the
reds, oranges and yellows of the season. Rich. Beautiful. Noticeable.
Length OK ladies, it’s time. Time to let go of the long locks and take your style up a notch for fall.
Hair that is too long is out, and elegant shoulder-length hair is in. Your look can still be ‘long’ but
should be blunt to the shoulder, and at most, one or two inches below. However, anything touching
your shoulder blade is a definite NO.
Best Advice of All Just as cut and color is a process, so is making the right decision. Find a stylist
that you love, bring pictures and trust your instincts. After consultation, I always recommend waiting
48 hours before making big changes.
‘Hip’ is learning who you are...how to change...and being confident and comfortable with that change. |
